In this poster we introduce Metabolite Explorer, a software tool that facilitates high-throughput, targeted data analysis, given data from multiple MSI experiments. Metabolite Explorer is the result of a bilateral development project between Aspect Analytics and Boehringer Ingelheim.

Metabolite Explorer is a great tool for any analysis that involves screening properties of a number of candidate molecules, which could be potential drug metabolites, biomarkers and more. The tool’s design emphasizes human interpretability via intuitive, user-defined screening criteria. Metabolite Explorer facilitates applications like drug delivery, biomarker discovery and diagnostics.

A screenshot of Metabolite Explorer’s main page for a sample analysis using data from a non-clinical drug safety study. In this example, tissues are laid out such that columns group tissues of the same animal and rows indicate technical replicates. The first column indicates a control animal, the other three were dosed with a compound.

Metabolite Explorer enhances standardization and reproducibility between team members as well as across studies. The tool’s automated reporting capabilities eliminate tedious, repetitive tasks in manually constructing reports, thus saving time while simultaneously reducing the risk of human error.
