What was NextGen Omics, Tech & Data Europe 2026?
Aspect Analytics attended NextGen Omics, Tech & Data Europe 2026, held on 13–14 October 2026 at Congress Centre Basel, Switzerland, and co-located with Biomarkers, CDx & Precision Medicine Europe 2026. The meeting brought together experts from pharma, biotech, and academia to discuss the latest innovations in biomarker discovery and multi-omics research, from novel technologies to clinical applications.
What did Aspect Analytics present?
Sathya Muralidhar, Strategic Account Executive at Aspect Analytics, presented “From Tissue to Target: How to Extract Spatial Biology at Scale” in the Multi-Omics Applications for Pharma R&D track on 14 October 2026. The talk addressed a central question for pharma and biotech teams adopting spatial biology: how to move from raw spatial omics data to biological insight that supports target discovery, reliably and at scale.
What limits spatial biology analysis at scale?
Sathya outlined three bottlenecks that research teams commonly face when extracting insights from spatial biology assays:
Data management: spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, and histology experiments generate large, complex datasets from different instruments and vendors that are difficult to organize and quality-control.
Multi-omics integration: combining different spatial omics layers from the same tissue into one analysis is technically challenging without dedicated co-registration tools.
Team alignment: pathologists, bioinformaticians, and biologists often work in separate tools, which keeps multidisciplinary teams out of sync.
How does Weave® solve these challenges?
Weave® is Aspect Analytics’ cloud-based spatial biology data analysis platform. It provides a single environment that turns raw spatial data into an integrated, co-registered multi-omics stack. From there, users can:
- Identify spatial niches and cellular neighborhoods across different omics layers
- Explore pathways and the underlying biology of tissue regions of interest
- Build interactive tissue atlases that serve as a shared knowledge base for spatial discovery
- Feed spatial insights into predictive AI models, including foundation models trained on spatial biology data
- Interrogate spatial data in natural language using AI agents
Because all data, analyses, and visualizations live in one collaborative platform, multidisciplinary teams can work from the same results rather than passing files between tools.

Frequently asked questions
Who presented for Aspect Analytics at NextGen Omics, Tech & Data Europe 2026?
Sathya Muralidhar, Strategic Account Executive at Aspect Analytics, presented “From Tissue to Target: How to Extract Spatial Biology at Scale” on 14 October 2026 in Basel.
What is Weave®?
Weave® is a cloud-based spatial biology data analysis platform developed by Aspect Analytics. It supports spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, spatial metabolomics, and histology data from any instrument vendor, and enables co-registration, multi-omics integration, cellular neighborhood analysis, interactive visualization, and tissue atlas building in one collaborative environment.
Why is spatial biology data analysis a bottleneck?
Spatial biology experiments routinely produce tens to hundreds of gigabytes of multimodal data. Managing that data, integrating multiple spatial omics layers, and keeping multidisciplinary teams aligned are the main obstacles to turning spatial experiments into drug discovery insights.
Who uses Weave®?
Weave® is used by pharma, biotech, and academic research teams for applications ranging from biomarker discovery and target identification to large-scale tissue atlas construction.
